Full Day Quad Tour - the heart of Boa Vista

This is the long ride, the one that crosses Boa Vista from end to end. We leave from Rabil and follow the cobbled road south, then turn onto a dirt track that runs along a dry riverbed towards the centre of the island.

The first stop is the oasis of Fonte Vicente, where a huge baobab shades a small eco farm. From there we continue south to Curral Velho and its old salt pans, then take the track that runs parallel to the beach and head north to Fundo das Figueiras, where we stop for lunch.

In the afternoon we ride east towards Santinha, named after the small chapel that stands there, then turn north to Bofareira and take the path that skirts the Viana Desert. We ride along it, never inside: it is a protected area. Then back to Rabil.
