Camping at Curral Velho
The southern tip of Boa Vista, where the road runs out: low dunes, a pink salt flat, a palm grove and a white beach with nobody on it. We pitch camp in the afternoon under the palms, walk out to the ruins of the old fishing village as the sun drops, and have dinner around the fire with Cape Verdean food cooked on the spot. Then the sky arrives, and out here not one light disturbs it. You wake to breakfast, the ocean a few steps away and seabirds on the islet offshore.
PRICE — €190 per person for two, 160 for three, 140 for four, 130 for five, 120 for six, 110 for seven-eight, 100 per person from nine up. Children pay the adult rate: a place in the tent and in the transfer costs the same at any age.
GROUP — from 2 to 18 people. Minimum age 6.
INCLUDED — transfer to and from your accommodation, tent with mattress, pillow and blankets, shaded common area, rechargeable lighting, water and drinks, dinner cooked on the spot, breakfast, local guides.
NOT INCLUDED — personal expenses and tips.
PAYMENT — no deposit: settled on site.
