German TUI Group to build four star resort in Boa Vista
Within 30 months the island of Boa Vista will receive a 575 room hotel from the German TUI group. The hotel construction will cost 78.4 million euro, representing one of the largest investments of its kind in Cape Verde. The extensive resort will be located directly on Praia de Chaves, just outside of the capital of Sal Rei, and is scheduled to open in the winter season of 2021/22. TUI’s portfolio in Cape Verde will grow to seven hotels and the German group has been receiving about 350,000 customers per year traveling to Cape Verde.
TUI Magic Life Boa Vista club is set to measure 108,000 m² and will offer numerous restaurants and bars, five pools, and an aqua park for children. As part of the TUI Magic Life brand it will also offer an extensive sports and entertainment program with areas to play volleyball, football, tennis, and even archery.
“In addition to TUI Magic Life Boa Vista’s unique location, our guests will particularly appreciate the hospitality of Cape Verde’s inhabitants and the Portuguese-African culture. This is a perfect base for our first club resort in West Africa, ”said Sebastian Ebel, TUI Group Executive Board member responsible for Hotels & Resorts.
