In front of the bay of Sal Rei you can see a small island with its strong name, “Duque Of Bragança”, that was built by the Portuguese to fight off possible pirate attacks.

Ilhéu of Sal Rei is an uninhabited island near the coast of Boa Vista Island, Cape Verde. It is located 1 km southwest of the island’s capital, Sal Rei. Its area is 89 hectares and its highest point is 27 m. The islet exposed calcareous and basalt rocks and there are sandy beaches in sheltered areas
